And the Academy goes to...

Yesterday, I posted a list of movies I love to watch around Halloween. That list probably only containes less than 1% of the horror movies that I've actually seen, and to me, the most important part of a horror movie is the acting. You can have a "Scary-As-Shit" movie, but have it ruined by horrible acting. Unless it seems real, I'll get bored with the movie very easily.

I've kept up with the newest season of Scream Queens on VH1. It's ended for the season, but I loved the concept. So, to keep this post fairly short, Here is the top 2 movies with the greatest acting, in my opinion, and I'm going to give my cheers my favorite "Scream Queen"- I mean, you never see horror films / actors get nominated at the Academy Awards, so I'm going to recognize them here:

Paranormal Activity seemed completely real to me. Both of the actors were down to earth, real. This movie is definitely at the top of my list of good actors.

And the top it off...

When I watched Quarantine in the theater with my folks, I thought to myself, this lady is the greatest actress I've ever seen. I really don't even like the movie that much, but she blew me away. Jennifer Carpenter is the actress, and it amazed me how she could scream her head off, act horrified and all shaken up, and still make her performance believable. She is my nomination. To me, she is THE Scream Queen. You may also know her as Emily Rose, from her performance from The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
